Adriano Rocha Lagni from Middlesex University has been selected to join UK-China Film Collab as a member via the Future Talent Programme 2023-2024.

Here is Adriano’s  introduction to his expertise as well as his project at UCFC for this coming year:

“My name is Adriano Rocha Lagni, a film student at Middlesex University, London. I have recently completed the modules of ‘Screen Storytelling’ and ‘Screen Aesthetics’ in my studies, and I am currently studying the modules of ‘Production Skills’ and ‘Content Creation’.

In my most recent experience, I worked as an editor filming the event ‘Silver Sunday Barnet’ at Middlesex University, promoted by the Barnet Council and its launch to become age-friendly. Film and Media Content Creator is a title that represents my goals and aspirations for the future. More specifically in the film industry, I seek to specialise in directing, script writing and editing. I believe that art plays a fundamental role in our lives. It is important to use it effectively to bring changes to society and improve the way we interact with each other.

My project proposal is to create a programme where students can collaborate in academic assignments making use of film projects to highlight and explore their vision and goals. The aim is to encourage students from the UK, Brazil and China to work together, stimulate their interest in different cultures, promote ideas and increase their chances to succeed in their careers.”
