Christina Jiang has been selected to join the organisation via the 2025-2026 Future Talent Programme.
Here is her introduction:
Drawing on my past experience of working in film and TV development, my proposal for the UK-China Film Collab Future Talent Programme would be to establish a scheme that supports screenwriters with the development of films that uplift Chinese stories and screenwriters.
Ideally, the scheme would support these writers through every step of the process. Depending on what stage of their careers they are in, this could include editing drafts of their script, connecting them to agents, as well as support in creating pitch decks for studios, funding applications, and possibly a short film proof of concept.
My mission is to help writers create the best ‘package’ in order to access better opportunities for creating their film with the support of established production studios.
