Trinity CineAsia is set to release the latest Chinese blockbuster Creation of the Gods I: Kingdom of Storms in the UK and Ireland. Available across cinemas from 22 September.
Trinity CineAsia has acquired multiple European territories the Chinese fantasy epic Creation of the Gods I：Kingdom of Storms for UK, encompassing the United Kingdom, Ireland, France and Spain from Highlight Entertainment Co., is who is handling international sales, on behalf of the filmmakers, with UK and Ireland cinemas to release first on September 22 following its London premiere last Sunday featuring lead Kris Phillips (Yin Shou) and Award Academy winning Production & Costume Designer Tim Yip.
One of the most successful films of 2023 in China, with over $400 million at the box office and an IMDb rating of 7.3, Creation of the Gods I: Kingdom of Storms is the first installment of the Creation of the Gods (Fengshen) Trilogy, adapted from the classic 16th-century Chinese novel Investiture of the Gods. The film resurrects a prolonged epic battle between humans, immortals, and monsters that is said to have occurred over 3,000 years ago. At the helm of this epic endeavor was the producer Bill Kong, renowned for his work on Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and Hero, with Barrie M. Osborne from The Lord of the Rings lending his expertise as the production consultant. Together, these luminaries orchestrated the creation of an international cinematic fantasy.

The first installment starts the story with the collusion of villainous King Zhou and his consort fox spirit Su Daji, which causes the wrath of heaven. The mystic sages at the Kunlun Mountain, aware the upcoming chaos, send Jiang Ziya down the mountain with the “Fengshen Bang” (a list that empowers him to invest the gods of Heaven) to find the lord of the world and save peoples.
Prince Ji Fa, a prince from a vassal kingdom trained by King Zhou from an early age, gradually discovers the true colors of his master, who is used to hold as his father and hero. Ji Fa decides to escape the capital, Chaoge to his hometown, and plan an attack to stop King Zhou with the help of Jiang Ziya.
