The 46th Hong Kong International Film Festival (HKIFF46) will open with two major Hong Kong films – the world premiere of Philip YUNG’s Where the Wind Blows, starring Aaron KWOK and Tony LEUNG Chiu-wai, and NG Yuen-fai’s mega-budget sci-fi blockbuster Warriors of Future, starring Sean LAU and Louis KOO, who also produced.

Hong Kong SAR Special Correspondence

Closing the festival is the Asian premiere of Tori and Lokita, the recent 75th Anniversary Award winner at Cannes, from the celebrated DARDENNE brothers, Jean-Pierre and Luc. The Belgian auteurs will meet the audience afterwards in a virtual masterclass.

HKIFF46 will go hybrid over 17 days from 15 to 31 August with more than 330 in-theatre and online screenings and audience-engagement events. Its complete programme of over 200 titles from 67 countries and regions, including four world and 32 Asian premieres.
