Lou Cai from London has been selected to join UK-China Film Collab as a member via the organisation’s Future Talent Programme 2023-2024.
Here is Lou’s introduction to herself and her project for this year:
“Hi, I am Lou, I am a recent graduate with an MA in Creative and Media Enterprises from the University of Warwick. I work as a freelance writer in film and sometimes in other sectors of the creative industries. I have served as a PR assistant at Odyssey 2023 and reported for the Cannes Film Festival and the BFI London Film Festival on behalf of UK-China Film Collab (accredited media) this year. Meanwhile, I am also working full-time in a communications company in London.
My project for the Future Talent Programme will seek to improve communication within the film industry between the UK and China through film critics, industry insights, and discussion panels. Specifically, I would like to bridge cultural differences and foster meaningful connections through cinema’s power. ”
