From a research project to a non-profit organisation.

The UK-China Film Collaboration Project was registered and incorporated as a private limited company by guarantee on May 26 2020.

As a non-profit organisation, we will continue our efforts in dialogues building, knowledge transfer and policy advocacy with an entrepreneurial spirit. We are committed to inspiring and encouraging meaningful collaboration in the film sector between the UK and China.

As a limited company by guarantee, we are in a more flexible position to apply for different types of funding and to widen our impact. The organisation is indeed still interested in working with universities and academics on projects that are related to our interest. Please do not hesitate to get in touch to discuss any partnership potential.

We are committed to making our funding sources and finance transparent. An annual report will be published to document our activities, impact and policy recommendation.

Finally, we would like to thank the Arts & Humanities Research Council (AHRC). The Project received its initial research funding from its UK-China Creative Industries Partnership Development Grants in 2019. The grant enabled us to gain a network of support, to conduct the first stage of research as well as to establish a public presence.
