Phoenix TV is to host the 2nd edition of Shanghai-London Screen Industry Forum (SLSIF) at BAFTA in London on 25th October 2024.
Supported by the UK Department for Business and Trade (DBT) and Shanghai Municipal Administration of Cultural and Tourism (Radio and Television), the 2nd edition of the SLSIF will focus on exceptional Chinese and British film and television projects. This forum will feature keynote speeches, professional panel discussions, the launch of new China-UK collaboration projects, and screenings. The forum aims to enhance understanding and foster dialogue between the Chinese and British screen industries, promoting the successful realisation of more co-production works.
With a successful inaugural event on 14th October 2023 at BAFTA in London, the first SLSIF commenced on a resoundingly positive note and garnered significant attention, bringing together over 150 professionals and emerging talents from the screen industries of China and the UK. The forum included a remarkable lineup of Sino-British coproductions spanning animation, documentaries, and new series that beautifully captured the spirit of Shanghai.
A delegation from China will attend the event, including media groups such as Shanghai Media Group and Phoenix TV, main streaming platforms like Bilibili, iQIYI, Tencent Video and Youku, as well as leading production companies such as SMG Pictures, Xixi Productions, Linmon Media, Youhug Media, XG Entertainment. We also anticipate participation from UK industry peers, including BBC Studios, All3Media, Lion TV as well as BFI, PACT and Animation UK etc. for this significant occasion.
