“Hi, I’m Sicun Wu, an MPhil student in Film and Screen Studies at the University of Cambridge. I am passionate about using film to foster cross-cultural dialogue and inspire social change. My project is to lead initiatives to elevate Odyssey 2025’s profile by developing and implementing comprehensive outreach strategies designed to engage diverse audiences. These strategies will include crafting compelling promotional campaigns across social media, designing engaging content such as trailers, posters, and blog articles, and organizing interactive events like Q&A sessions, community screenings, and panel discussions. Additionally, I will focus on fostering partnerships with filmmakers, distributors, and sponsors to expand the festival’s reach and generate impactful collaborations.
By leveraging my expertise in storytelling and campaign management, I aim to connect with underrepresented communities, build strong relationships with cultural institutions, and create platforms for meaningful dialogue about the social issues explored through film. I am dedicated to highlighting the cultural richness and global relevance of independent cinema while cultivating meaningful collaborations within the international film community. My ultimate goal is to bridge audiences, creators, and industry leaders, creating a stronger platform for inclusive, socially conscious storytelling that resonates on a global scale.
