The “Technical Guidance for Prevention of Coronavirus Spread during Cinema Reopening” issued by Shanghai Film Distribution and Exhibition Association is now available in English.
There was a short period of efforts for cinemas to try and reopen in China this month, until the recent sudden order from China Film Bureau. During the quarantine period, Shanghai Film Distribution and Exhibition Association has been actively supporting their members and the exhibition sector within the region. In collaboration with Shanghai Film Technology Plant Co. Ltd., the Association has drafted and issued this guidance to support cinemas and their reopening ahead. Hopefully this guidance could be useful for associations or networks around the world, as a reference, to support their own members in the future.
